Adaptec Unified Serial™ (SATA/SAS) Series 5 high performance RAID controllers offer the highest I/O performance and broadest throughput for both high capacity SATA drives and high performance SAS drives. The Adaptec RAID 51245 features industry-leading dual-core RAID on Chip (ROC), 512MB DDR2 cache memory, and a PCI-Express x8 interface for up to 250,000 I/O operations per second and 1.2Gb/s transfer rate. Up to 256 SATA/SAS I/O devices can be connected using SAS expanders.
The Adaptec RAID 51245 supports a wide range of operating systems, is compatible with more than 300 third-party devices, and is fully integrated with Adaptec Storage Manager™ software for centralized management of all Adaptec RAID controllers on the network.
